In honour of their 75th anniversary, the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority (SVCA) is encouraging the public to discover the beauty of the region's natural landscapes for a chance to win prizes through the launch of their Explore Saugeen Conservation Program.
To enter, participants are invited to take a photograph of signage or another identifiable feature from any seven of the 14 SVCA properties listed below:
• Administration office in Formosa
• Allan Park
• Brucedale
• Denny’s Dam
• Durham
• Mildmay/Carrick
• New conservation area at Glenelg
• Hardwood Hill
• Kinghurst
• McGowan Falls
• Saugeen Bluffs
• Schmidt Lake
• Stoney Island
• Sulphur Spring

Photographs can be uploaded online at www.saugeenconservation.ca/2025Explore. Alternatively they can be dropped off in person or mailed to Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority, 1078 Bruce Road 12, Box 150, Formosa, ON N0G 1W0.
“We’re proud to celebrate 75 years of conserving and protecting our local ecosystems alongside local communities," said Erik Downing, SVCA General Manager and Secretary-Treasurer. "The Explore Program gives everyone a fun opportunity to connect with nature, learn about the conservation efforts that sustain these beautiful spaces, and be a part of this significant milestone for Saugeen Conservation," Downing said.
Prizes include membership passes, seven nights of camping, a framed print of a conservation area, and outdoor adventure materials.
